5 Little Pumpkins Craft

Our daughter came home from preschool singing this song around Halloween last year and we thought it would be cute to make a craft to go with it. We used precut craft foam pumpkins to make things easier and she had fun singing the song as we put the craft together. Here are the lyrics (sing/chant to tune of 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed):

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate;
The first one said, "Oh my it's getting late."
The second one said, "There are witches in the air."
The third one said, "But I don't care."
The fourth one said, "I'm ready for some fun!"
The fifth one said, "Let's run and run and run."
"Wooooooo" went the wind,
And out went the lights.
And the five little pumpkins rolled out of sight!

What you'll need: Black construction paper Yellow construction paper Craft foam pumpkin shapes Wide popsicle sticks Glue Scissors How to make your 5 Little Pumpkins Craft: Have an adult cut the rounded end off of one side of a few popsicle sticks. Glue the popsicle sticks to the black construction paper so that they are in a row. This is your gate. Pick out 5 craft foam pumpkins and glue or stick them to the construction paper so that they sit on the gate. If you like, cut a circle out of yellow construction paper to make a full moon for your Halloween night. This was our daughter’s idea! Please add a comment
