Counting Buttons Flower Craft

Children make this pretty button flower craft by counting the correct amount of buttons that is written on their flowerpot and then gluing them onto a stem that they have drawn. You can also discuss the different sizes of the buttons and have children glue the buttons on the stem from largest to smallest. This project makes for a cute spring decoration when complete.

What you'll need:

  • Colorful buttons in various sizes
  • White cardstock
  • Template of flower pot
  • Green Marker
  • Glue
  • Colorful construction paper
  • Scissors
How to make your counting button flowers craft:
  • Trace a flower pot from the template onto any piece of construction paper and cut out.
  • Write three different numerals on the flower pot as shown.
  • Have the child glue this flowerpot to the bottom of the white cardstock.
  • Child will draw a stem with leaves above each numeral.
  • Child counts the appropriate number of buttons and then glues them onto the stem as shown.
