Little Miss Muffet Nursery Rhyme Craft

What you'll need:

• Egg carton
• 2 pipe cleaners
• Markers
• Glue
• Scissors
• 2 wiggly eyes
• String or yarn (12 inches)
• Little Miss Muffet Lyrics (optional)

1. Using scissors, carefully cut one of the cups from the egg carton.  Flip it upside down and glue the wiggly eyes to the center of the cup.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
2. Cut the pipe cleaners into four equal pieces and poke four pipe cleaners onto either side of the egg cup. Bend the pipe cleaners to form the legs. Place a dot of glue around each one to hold it in place.  Allow the glue to dry.  (see photos)
3. Using markers, draw a face on the spider.  (see photos)
4. Tie a knot at one end of the string, carefully poke a hole in the egg cup with scissors, and thread the string up through the egg carton.  (see photos)
5. You spider is now complete!  Hold it by the string as you sing Little Miss Muffet.  Have one person pretend to be Little Miss Muffet and have one person sneak up behind her and drop the spider on her!  The lyrics for Little Miss Muffet are provided if desired.
