Paper Plate Shaker Musical Instrument Craft

This paper plate shaker craft is a great music craft for kids. They will love decorating their very own homemade instrument. Assembling it requires adding some dried beans which allows them to use fine motor skills and shaking the plate is a great sensory experience. Best of all, the end project of this simple music craft is a toy they can dance and play with for hours. (Please supervise younger children with the small beans).

What you'll need: Large paper plate Crayons, markers, stickers, etc Stapler Dried beans How to make your Paper Plate Shaker Musical Instrument Have your child color and decorate the back of a paper plate. When they are finished, fold the paper plate in half and staple well around the edges. Leave a hole open at the top. Add a few scoops of dried beans to the plate through the hole.
