Alphabet Buddies Craft

Alpha Buddies Alphabet Dolls is a fun craft that will also stimulate your preschooler. This easy to make craft will allow your youngster to explore the letters of the alphabet while making adorable dolls! As the dolls are formed, children will ask about the letters of the alphabet and begin to identify the sounds of the letters and the letters that make up sight words. This craft also encourages fine motor skills and creativity!

What you'll need:

How to make your alphabet buddies craft:
  1. Print the attached template on colored cardstock. (see photos)
  2. With adult supervision, cut out each cardstock letter. (see photos)
  3. Glue wiggly eyes and a pom-pom nose on each Alpha Doll. Allow the glue to dry. (see photos)
  4. Using the crayons or markers, decorate the Alpha Buddies. You may wish to decorate each of the letters with objects that begin with that letter. For example, on the letter A, you may wish to draw ants, alligators, and apples. (see photos)
  5. If desired, put a sticky back magnet on the back of each Alpha Buddy Alpha Doll so that you can hang them on the refrigerator. Or, you can cut small pieces of yarn and glue them to the back of each Alpha Buddy Alpha Doll so that you can hang them. (see photos)
  6. Once all of your Alpha Buddies are decorate, they are now ready to play with or hang on the refrigerator!
